Earthquake in Delhi-NCR: PM Modi Urges Caution After 4.0 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Delhi-NCR

A 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck Delhi-NCR and parts of North India early Monday morning at 5:36 AM, causing strong tremors that forced people out of their homes. The National Earthquake Center confirmed that the epicenter was near Lake Park in Dhaulakuan, New Delhi, at a shallow depth of 5 kilometers. Due to its low depth and central location, the impact was strongly felt across the region.Following the tremors, Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded, urging citizens to stay cautious. "People should remain alert and follow safety protocols. Authorities are monitoring the situation," he stated.Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud noise before the tremors, and birds perched on trees flew away in distress. No major damage or casualties have been reported so far. Authorities are assessing the situation and advising residents to be prepared for possible aftershocks.
