View In AppDiwali in 2024 will be celebrated on October 31, following a consensus among religious scholars. There was some initial confusion around the date, as Amavasya (New Moon), which is crucial for Diwali, occurs on both October 31 and November 1 this year. According to Hindu scriptures, Diwali is ideally observed when Amavasya coincides with the Pradosh Kaal (evening period), which will occur on October 31, making it the religiously appropriate day for Lakshmi Puja. The auspicious timing for Lakshmi Puja on Diwali, October 31, will be from 6:25 p.m. to 8:32 p.m., during which devotees can worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha together. There are three additional auspicious muhurats for Lakshmi Puja: Pradosh Kaal from 5:35 p.m. to 8:11 p.m., Vrishabha Kaal from 6:21 p.m. to 8:17 p.m., and Nishita Kaal from 11:39 p.m. to 12:31 a.m.
