Cabinet Watch: Bengal BJP Eyes Big Names for Ministry as Kolkata Prepares for Historic Oath

Political excitement continues to build in West Bengal as the Bharatiya Janata Party prepares to form its first government in the state, with discussions intensifying over the possible faces in Chief Minister-designate Suvendu Adhikari’s cabinet. According to party sources, several senior and prominent BJP leaders are being considered for ministerial positions. Among the names prominently discussed are Agnimitra Paul and Rupa Ganguly, both of whom may receive cabinet responsibilities in the new government. Senior BJP leaders Dilip Ghosh and Shankar Ghosh are also among the likely ministerial contenders. In addition, veteran intellectual and political figure Swapan Dasgupta is being considered for a cabinet role as the party balances governance, organization, and regional representation.
