BREAKING: Twisha Sharma’s Body to Undergo Second Postmortem After High Court Order

A major development has emerged in the high-profile Twisha Sharma death case as a second postmortem examination of her body is set to be conducted at AIIMS Bhopal following orders from the Jabalpur High Court. The court-approved re-examination comes after persistent demands from Twisha Sharma’s family, who had expressed dissatisfaction with the findings of the initial postmortem report and raised serious questions over the circumstances surrounding her death. A specialized team of four doctors from AIIMS Delhi has already arrived in Bhopal to carry out the fresh forensic examination. Officials confirmed that the entire procedure will be videographed to ensure transparency and maintain the integrity of the investigation process. Legal sources indicate that the High Court itself had raised concerns regarding aspects of the earlier postmortem findings before directing a second examination. Twisha Sharma reportedly died under suspicious circumstances on May 12, after which her family accused her husband, Samarth Singh, and members of her in-laws’ family of involvement in the case. The matter gained wider attention after allegations of inconsistencies in the initial investigation and forensic handling surfaced publicly. Meanwhile, a Bhopal court has sent accused husband Samarth Singh to seven days of police remand as investigators continue questioning him regarding the case. Reports suggest he had remained absconding for a significant period before finally being taken into custody by police authorities. The case has now drawn national attention, with even the Supreme Court reportedly taking suo motu cognizance of developments linked to the investigation. The second postmortem is expected to play a crucial role in determining the exact cause of death and could significantly influence the future direction of the criminal probe and judicial proceedings.
