In a tragic incident during a late-night checking operation in Patna, a speeding black Scorpio SUV broke barricades and rammed into three police personnel, killing a woman constable named Komal and seriously injuring an SI and ASI. The horrifying accident occurred on Atal Path in the SK Puri police station area around 12:30 am. CCTV visuals show the vehicle accelerating toward the barricade, flouting police signals.As per initial reports, the car was moving at nearly 90 km/h and failed to stop when signaled by officers. The impact threw Constable Komal several meters into the air. She was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries. The other two officers remain in critical condition under treatment.The Scorpio driver, identified as Ashok, was also injured and is hospitalized. Two other passengers in the vehicle have been taken into custody and are being interrogated. Investigators suspect the vehicle may have been involved in prior criminal activity, especially since it bore a political party flag.Police are examining whether the suspects are linked to any political organization and are currently tracing the car's registration and ownership details.
