Breaking: Punjab Police Removes Farmers at Shambhu Border; Dallewal Shifted to PWD Guest House
In Punjab, Kisan leader jagjit singh dallewal was shifted to a medical college from the PWD guest house. Media personnel were restricted at the gate of the college. Meanwhile, farmers protesting at the Punjab-Haryana Shambhu border were forcibly removed by the Punjab Police. JCB bulldozers were used to dismantle the farmers' tents. The police claimed that no opposition was faced, and thus, force was used. However, this has sparked anger among farmers in Amritsar, who protested at the Manawal toll on the Amritsar-Delhi highway, causing inconvenience to several commuters. After some time, the police removed the protesters from the site. Protesters accused the Punjab government of resorting to violence. In Patiala, the central representatives of the farmers were taken into custody, with the farmer leaders later placed in the Bahadurgarh commando center. Angry farmers, dissatisfied with the actions, blamed Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann for meeting Amit Shah and strategizing against the farmers. Union Minister Ravneet Bittu spoke out against the actions of the Punjab government, comparing it to the violence seen in Nagpur, Maharashtra. In Nagpur, during a protest, individuals were arrested for allegedly inciting violence and causing harm to religious sentiments. The police have identified the individuals responsible for throwing stones during the protest and are continuing their search operations.
