Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, in a powerful address, expressed his deep belief that the day is not far when every part of India, including regions like Pok, will proudly affirm, “I am Bharat, I have returned.” He emphasized that Pok’s integration with India is vital for the country’s cultural, social, and economic prosperity. Highlighting the transformative vision of ‘Make in India’, Singh stated that the initiative is not limited to defense manufacturing. He described it as a defining movement—similar to the industrial revolution seen in 20th-century Japan. Singh envisioned India emerging as a global development hub for high-precision engineering and future technologies. He emphasized the abundance of Indian talent, pointing out that professionals of Indian origin are leading major global companies. Just as Japan carved a niche in global manufacturing, India too will earn global recognition. “Even a pen made in India will proudly say—it was built with Indian technology,” he declared.
