Breaking News: Sikh MLAs Appear Before Akal Takht Over Sacrilege Law

All Sikh MLAs, including ministers from Punjab's ruling Aam Aadmi Party and other political parties, appeared before the Akal Takht at the Golden Temple after being summoned over the state's anti-sacrilege law. The Akal Takht has objected that neither it nor the SGPC was consulted before the law was enacted and has also raised concerns over provisions related to monitoring copies of the Guru Granth Sahib. AAP legislators have submitted a written explanation, maintaining that the law only amends the 2008 legislation.
