Breaking News: Five-Storey Building Collapses in Delhi’s Mehrauli

A major incident has been reported from Mehrauli, Delhi, where a five-storey building collapsed following heavy storm and strong winds. The accident occurred on Saturday evening around 7:44 PM in the Saidulajab area, causing panic and chaos in the locality. According to officials, at least nine people have been safely rescued so far, while rescue operations are still underway. Teams from NDRF, DDMA, Delhi Police, Fire Department, and other emergency services rushed to the spot immediately after the collapse. The building reportedly housed multiple offices and a canteen, where several students and staff were present at the time of the incident. Eyewitnesses claim that between 50 to 60 people could still be trapped, though official confirmation is awaited. Rescue teams are clearing debris rapidly, and ambulances are continuously ferrying the injured to hospitals via a green corridor. Officials say the exact number of casualties is yet to be confirmed as search operations continue in difficult conditions.
