Breaking: IRGC warns US after Trump remarks as Israeli strikes intensify in southern Lebanon

Tensions in the Middle East have escalated sharply after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) responded strongly to recent remarks by former US President Donald Trump and ongoing military confrontations involving American and Iranian forces near the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC claimed that the US military has become “weak” and warned that southern Iran could turn into a “graveyard for invaders” if conflict breaks out. The statement comes days after reports of a confrontation between US and Iranian forces near the strategic Hormuz region. According to reports, four Iranian personnel were killed during the clash, while Iran allegedly retaliated by shooting down a US MQ-9 Reaper drone. Iranian sources also claimed that an American F-35 fighter jet was detected on radar systems during the standoff, further intensifying regional tensions. The IRGC asserted that the possibility of a full-scale war with the United States remains low because, according to them, their “enemy is weak.” The remarks were seen as a direct response to Trump’s warning that Iran could face devastating consequences if no agreement is reached in the ongoing geopolitical standoff. Meanwhile, the regional crisis deepened further as Israel launched fresh airstrikes in southern Lebanon. Reports indicate that the Israeli military targeted multiple locations in the city of Tyre over the past 48 hours. Visuals from the area showed large fires, heavy smoke, and extensive destruction following the strikes. Lebanon’s Health Ministry has claimed that casualties from Israeli attacks since early March have crossed 3,200 deaths, reflecting the growing humanitarian impact of the conflict. Israel maintains that its operations are aimed at targeting Hezbollah and Hamas-linked infrastructure, while local reports suggest that civilians are also being heavily affected by the continued bombardment. The latest developments underline the rapidly worsening security situation across the Middle East amid rising military confrontations and political rhetoric.
