Breaking: Cloudburst Triggers Devastation in Himachal's Kullu; Truck Swept Away Like a Toy, Several Missing | ABP NEWS
Heavy rainfall has wreaked havoc in Himachal Pradesh, with Kullu’s Sainj Valley among the worst affected. A massive cloudburst triggered flash floods, causing widespread destruction. Rivers in the region have risen dramatically, with water currents so strong that a large truck was seen being swept away like a plastic toy — highlighting the sheer power of nature’s fury. The cloudburst brought torrential rains from the sky down to the valley with extreme force, flooding entire areas within minutes. In Sainj, roads, homes, and vehicles were submerged. Visuals from the scene show a truck being carried by the raging water as if it weighed nothing. Tragically, at least three people are reported missing, possibly swept away in the flash floods. Locals recall being jolted awake around 2:30 a.m. by a sudden roar as water gushed through their colony. Many claim they couldn’t see anything in time before the floodwaters inundated their homes. The danger is not limited to Kullu — similar alerts have been issued for Kangra, Mandi, Shimla, and Sirmaur districts. Authorities have issued flash flood warnings, and rescue teams are on high alert.
