The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) received a bomb threat on Friday, marking the second such threat in less than a month. The threat was sent via email in Russian to the bank’s official website, prompting Mumbai police to launch an investigation. A case has been filed against an unknown individual at the Mata Ramabai Marg (MRA Marg) police station. The Zone 1 Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Mumbai confirmed that a threatening email was received, warning of a bombing at the RBI. The investigation is ongoing. This follows a series of bomb threats in Delhi, where six schools received similar threats via email, leading to a multi-agency search of the school premises. On December 9, at least 44 schools received bomb threat emails, which were later declared hoaxes by the police. Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed concern over these recurring threats, questioning their impact on children's safety and well-being.
