The spacecraft landed on Earth without its crew after its journey from the International Space Station (ISS). The Starliner spacecraft took off from the ISS on the night of September 6 and landed at the White Sands Space Harbor in New Mexico at 9:32 a.m. local time on September 7. The mission, which was closely watched by scientists around the world, was originally intended to last only eight days, but technical difficulties extended the timeline. Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are expected to return to Earth in February next year, when they will be brought back by a SpaceX flight. For now, they remain at the ISS as their Starliner spacecraft has completed its return journey without its crew.
