Bihar News: Bihar STF conducts major raid at suspended ASI Saroj Singh’s house; weapons, cash seized amid firing
In a significant operation in Mohiuddin Nagar police station area of Samastipur district, Bihar STF and police conducted a joint raid at the residence of suspended ASI Saroj Singh. During the search, a large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and magazines were recovered. Reports confirm that Singh’s supporters fired at the STF team during the raid, leading to a retaliatory firing by the police. The exchange of gunfire created a tense and chaotic atmosphere in the village. The search operation is still ongoing, with security forces maintaining strict control over the area and restricting movement. Along with firearms such as an INSAS rifle and carbines, an enormous cash amount of ₹1.40 crore was also seized from Saroj Singh’s house. Five people, including Saroj Singh, have been arrested in connection with the case. Bihar police continue to investigate the matter, attempting to uncover further links and details.
