India Vision 2047: Renewable Energy Key to Surviving Global Conflicts, Says Arunabha Ghosh
Speaking at the ABP Network India@2047 Conclave, energy expert Arunabha Ghosh highlighted the critical importance of energy security for India’s future development. He stated that no country can achieve developed economy status without ensuring strong, stable, and self-reliant energy sources. Ghosh explained that in the current global environment, where geopolitical tensions and conflicts are rising in many parts of the world, energy supply chains are highly vulnerable. Crude oil imports, electricity generation systems, and fuel logistics can be severely disrupted during wars or international crises, making energy planning a national priority. He emphasized that India must strengthen its focus on renewable energy, green hydrogen, and diversified energy sources to reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels. According to him, sustainable energy systems are not only environmentally important but also strategically essential for national security. Ghosh also highlighted the importance of energy conservation and efficient management during crisis situations. He suggested that technological innovation, policy support, and long-term planning will be crucial in building a resilient energy ecosystem. The discussion underlined India’s transition toward a cleaner and more secure energy future, aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, where sustainability and energy independence will play a central role in economic growth and national stability.
