Why You Might Not Need Glasses: Discover Alternative Eyecare Solutions | Health Live

ABP News Bureau   |  08 Sep 2024 08:15 PM (IST)

India's drug regulatory agency has approved a new eye drop, "Presvu," that could benefit millions suffering from presbyopia. This age-related condition makes it challenging to focus on close objects, often necessitating reading glasses. Manufactured in Mumbai, Presvu is set to launch in October. Presbyopia affects about 1.8 billion people globally, with 45% of adults over 40 experiencing it. The condition arises as the eye's lens becomes less flexible with age. Presvu offers a non-invasive solution, using a unique formulation to enhance blurry vision, potentially eliminating the need for reading glasses and providing additional lubrication for the eyes. This breakthrough could significantly improve the quality of life for those struggling with presbyopia.
