CRPF investigating car explosion incident which took place on Jammu-Srinagar highway today
An explosion occurred in a Santro car ferrying on the Jammu-Srinagar highway near Banihal in Ramban. The blast reportedly occurred due to bursting of a gas cylinder inside the car. Police said the explosion occurred inside a private car at Tethar, destroying the vehicle. The driver of the car escaped unhurt after the explosion.
As per latest reports, there were no casualties reported. At the time of the blast, a CRPF convoy which passing through the highway, close to where the incident happened. As per CRPF officials, the convoy was at a significant distance from explosion site, does not appear to be an attack.
