Chandrayaan 2: ISRO continues efforts to restore link with Vikram lander

As hopes were lifted for India's first moon mission Chandrayaan 2 after the moon lander Vikram was located on the lunar surface on Sunday, the Indian Space and Research Organisation delved into a study of figures in a bid to establish a link with it.

The location of  moon lander Vikram, which had lost its link with ISRO in the final minutes of the mission, was found on Sunday to be at the surface of the moon, the agency’s chairman K Sivan informed. The location was traced through a thermal image clicked by the Orbiter, which is already in the intended orbit around the Moon. Sivan, however, maintained that no communication has been established with the Lander and that the agency will try to establish it in the next 14 days.
