Bhumi Pednekar has consistently turned heads on the red carpet. From her striking Bhuta Kola-inspired attire to more daring ensembles, Bhumi has kept fashion enthusiasts talking. However, her recent appearance at AP Dhillon's concert in Mumbai grabbed a lot of attention but not on her outfit. The focus was shifted from her outfits to her abs.

Bhumi Pednekar stepped out in a black crop top paired with jeans and a sling bag, but it was her abs that stole the spotlight, with many speculating they appeared intentionally pulled in.

Netizens react

Bhumi’s chiseled look at the event drew a flurry of comments, with many questioning the extremes she seemed to have gone to. Social media users were quick to voice their opinions, with remarks ranging from humorous to critical. Comments like “Saans legi to pata chalega” (She’ll breathe, and we’ll know), “Why is she holding her breath?”, and “Why is she doing this? This is doing the opposite of helping her career” dominated the thread. One user even pleaded, “Kyu krti ho didi aap aisse?” (Why do you do this, sister?). 

A few users compared her to Baba Ramdev while a few funnily called her, "Bhumi Pet Andar Kar."

Many speculated that Bhumi’s appearance was the result of cosmetic enhancements gone wrong. “It’s a tummy tuck ..not of the best kind though .the navel gives it away,” wrote a user. 

“Surgery ke baad bhi if you have to suck in your stomach then girl just save the money😭,” read another comment. 

Supporters pointed out that her abs could simply reflect her fitness journey or natural changes after significant weight loss. A user wrote, “Couldn’t it just be loose skin since she was previously quite heavier? Remember Dum Laga Ke Haisha?” 

Another comment read, “What if she sucks it in because... if she doesn’t, we see wrinkly extra skin?”
