The 2nd leg of 'Manchester Derby' for the Premier League 2024/25 seasons ends in a 'dull' goalless stalemate, as Manchester United and Manchester City play out a frustrating 0-0 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday, April 6.

With this, Manchester City now attain an unwanted 'rare' feat, where they have now failed to beat their city-rivals throughout a league season.

In what has been a dull season for Manchester City so far, they now fail to capitalise on Nottingham Forest's defeat to Aston Villa, and Chelsea's draw away at Brentford earlier in the day, as a win for them today would have taken them 2 points clear off 'The Blues' in the 4th spot. The difference, now, remains the same, as Chelsea lead by 1 point.

For Manchester United, this draw is a win for them, as their ordinary season continues to produce off-results, and this draw now takes them to 38 points, in 13th place.

With only 7 matches to go, a European qualification place now seems out of contention, and all they can do now is shift their focus to UEFA Europa League, which now stands as their only hope of silverware this season.

In a match which haardly had goal-scoring chances, Manchester City's Phil Foden and Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho squandered their respective chances in what could have been a winner tonight.

Here's What The Managers Said After The Game

Ruben Amorim (Manchester United):

"I think we had some chances to win the game. We tried to use the space in transitions, defending in a low block, but we had our chances. We had some moments with the ball, we pushed City into their half, we were closer to a goal but we can accept a draw. We were closer to the goal, they had more possession but that is normal. We have so many aspects to improve, everywhere. We need to improve in every aspect, build up, transition, decisions in the final third. Every player can improve, they are here because they showed something at other clubs. They have the quality, we are still a team that plays on transition, we need to spend more time in the final third to have more opportunities."

Pep Guardiola (Manchester City):

"We have the control but not in the right spots to hurt them in the first half, a little better in the first minutes of the second half. But we take the point, I'd prefer to win but we are there.
