List Of Players Set To Miss IPL 2021 Phase 2 In UAE

Many players from different franchises have decided to withdraw from IPL 14 phase 2 due to injury or some other personal reasons. Lets have a look at list of players who won't play in IPL 2021 Phase 2

New Delhi: With just not more than 25-30 days left for the IPL 2021 Phase 2, many franchises have suffered a major setback after their star players decided to miss out the cash-rich tournament. BCCI has made it clear that the players have the right to decide whether they want to participate in the T20 league or not. Many players have withdrawn their names from IPL 14 phase 2 due to injury or some personal reasons.

List of players who won't play in IPL 2021 Phase 2

1. Pat Cummins: Kolkata Knight Riders star fast-bowler Pat Cummins won't be a part of IPL 2021 Phase 2 as he is going to become a father for the first time, reportedly in September-October 2021.  

2. Jos Buttler: Rajasthan Royals star opener and wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler has also refused to play in the second phase of IPL due to personal reasons. Hard-hitting Kiwi batsman Glenn Phillip has replaced Buttler in Rajasthan Royals.

3. Adam Zampa: Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa, who plays for Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, will also not play in the second phase of IPL-14. After being named in the Australian team for T20 World Cup, he decided to withdrawn from IPL. Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga has replaced Zampa in RCB.

4. Jay Richardson and Riley Meredith, who plays for Punjab Kings in IPL, have refused to play in the second phase of the tournament's 14th season. In his place, Punjab Kings have included Nathan Ellis in the team.

5. Daniel Sams: The all-rounder, who plays for RCB, decided to withdraw from IPL 2021 Phase 2, citing mental health.

6. Finn Allen: After being named in the New Zealand team that will tour Pakistan and Bangladesh, RCB's Finn Allen withdrew his name from IPL. 

7. Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer: Both star players from England have decided to not play for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021 Phase 2. Jofra Archer has been ruled out of cricket for the next one year due to an elbow injury. At the same time, Ben Stokes, one of the best all-rounders in the world, has taken an indefinite break from cricket due to mental health.
