Newcastle United Vs Manchester City Match Report
Manchester City started the proceedings on an adverse note as they endured a torrid first five minutes. They conceded a goal inside two minutes, only for it to be ruled out for an offside but star keeper Ederson had to be subbed off due to an injury. The Brazilian collided heavily with his English right-back Kyle Walker and required medical attention.
Things got better for City as they were constantly making overlapping runs and the attack asked some surreal questions off Newcastle United's defence. The Eddie Howe's side finally lost their resilience as a world class back hell finish from Bernanrdo Silva off Kyle Walker opened up the scoring for the Pep Guardiola-led side.
However, what came afterwards was sheer magic as Newcastle scored two goals in quick succession to make it 2-1 in their favour at the end of the first half. Goals from Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon came in the 35th and 37th minute respectively, which was astonishing in another way as these two gaols were the only shots on target for the 'Magpies' in the first half.
It was all Newcastle until the 69th minute when Pep decidd to sub in Kevin De Bruyne for Bernardo Silva and that worked a treat for the reigning UEFA Champions League winners as the legendary midfielder scored in the 74th minute to make it 2-2 and later, provided a dramatic assist to Oscar Bobb in the 91tst minute win the match for City.
