Amir Jangoo has received his maiden national call-up, as the wicket-keeper batsman features in the 15-man squad led by Shai Hope. However, there is no space for Hayden Walsh Jr. and Jewel Andrew, as the duo has been dropped from the squad.

"We continue to build towards the main target of the ICC Men’s 50-over World Cup where we are looking to broaden the pool of players even with the short-term objectives of winning series, especially at home and building momentum on the recent win against England," said West Indies coach Daren Sammy, who stated that the board is building the squad keeping ICC ODI World Cup 2027 in mind.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have confirmed that Mehidy Hasan Miraz will lead the side in the absence of Najmul Hosain Shanto, who continues his recovery from the groin injury.

Middle order too, will be lacking experience and much-needed stability, as Towhid Hridoy too mises out on the series due to groin injury. Zakir Hasan has been dropped from the squad after a poor showing against Afghanistan.
