Virat Kohli Ranji Trophy Comeback: As Virat Kohli stepped onto the crease during the Delhi vs Railways Ranji Trophy Elite 2024-25 match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium (formerly known as Feroz Shah Kotla), the crowd erupted in excitement with chants of 'Kohli, Kohli' reverberating throught the venue. It marked the Indian batting legend's highly anticipated return to the Ranji circuit, India's premier domestic red-ball tournament, after over 12 years.

Kohli's last appearance in a Ranji Trophy match was in 2012 against Uttar Pradesh. His return comes as part of the BCCI’s effort to encourage Indian stars to play in domestic cricket, emphasizing the importance of first-class cricket for national team selection. This initiative has seen players like Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal participating in the tournament as well.
