Rohit Sharma Registers Unique Feat With MASSIVE Six Off Mohammed Shami — WATCH

Although Rohit Sharma couldn’t convert his start into a big score in the MI vs SRH match, his knock featured three sixes, helping him achieve a unique milestone.

Rohit Sharma, who has been off colour in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, showed signs of reaching his usual best in the Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, match 33 of the tournament on April 17 (Thursday) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Although Rohit Sharma couldn’t convert his start into a big score, he gave Mumbai Indians early momentum with a brisk 26 off 16 balls. His knock featured three sixes, helping him achieve a unique milestone.

Rohit Sharma’s first six against SRH came off Mohammed Shami’s bowling and it also marked his 100th six at the Wankhede Stadium — making him the first batter ever to reach this milestone at the Mumbai venue. He also became just the fourth player in IPL history to hit 100 or more sixes at a single ground, joining the elite company of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle. Notably, Rohit is the first to achieve this feat outside Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium.

On the fifth delivery of the third over during MI’s innings, Shami bowled a back-of-a-length ball targeting leg and middle. Rohit responded with a stylish pull off his hips, launching it into the top tier over square leg.
