PAK vs BAN: Pakistan & Bangladesh Remain Winless At Champions Trophy 2025 As Rawalpindi Match Gets Abandoned

PAK vs BAN, Champions Trophy 2025: Both Pakistan and Bangladesh ended their respective campaigns on a gloomy note as rain abandoned their chances of capping off the tournament on a winning note.

PAK vs BAN, Champions Trophy 2025: The Pakistan vs Bangladesh match in the Champions Trophy 2025 was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent rain at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, with even the toss not taking place. Notably, with the match being called-off, both Pakistan and Bangladesh ended their respective Champions Trophy 2025 campaigns remaining winless. Although the match had no impact on the points table, both teams aimed to end their campaigns on a high note, but it wasn't to be.

Initially, there was only light drizzle at Rawalpindi delaying the toss from the scheduled time. But with time, the rain became heavier, eventually forcing the match officials to call off the PAK vs BAN match.

Ahead of the PAK vs BAN clash, Pakistan suffered a humiliating group-stage exit from their home tournament after losing to arch-rivals India and New Zealand defeating Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Bangladesh put up a fight against India and New Zealand but fell short on both occasions.

While Group A semifinalists are confirmed with New Zealand and India securing their places in the final four, the dynamics in Group B are still well and truly alive.

Afghanistan knocked England out of the Champions Trophy 2025, extinguishing their semifinal hopes with an eight-run win in a high-scoring thriller in Lahore on February 27. Needing a win to stay in contention, Jos Buttler’s side suffered their second consecutive loss, confirming their exit from the tournament.

England will now take on South Africa in their final Group B match, though it holds no significance for them. Meanwhile, Afghanistan, currently on two points, must beat Australia in their last group-stage game to stay in the race for a semifinal spot.
