AUS Vs IND: Mohammed Siraj gets off to a poor start at The Gabba in Brisbane, as Australia have made a decent start to their proceedings in the 3rd Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 series.
The Indian pacer became a national villain of Australia after his heated exchange with Travis Head during the Adelaide Test, where he showed excessive aggression while celebrating the wicket of the latter, who made a match-winning 140 for the home side.
The 'unnecessary' aggression (as said legendary Sunil Gavaskar) led to the fans booing Mohammed Siraj, and have not shied away from expressing their 'harsh' feelings towards him.
During the first session of the 3rd Test, the hostile reception seemed to have affected the rhythm of Mohammed Siraj, who bowled a poor spell, and was smashed for couple of boundaries by veteran Usman Khawaja, a moment which was received with immense delight by the fans in attendance.
Rain has played a spoilsport on Day 1, as Australia are 28/0 after 13.2 overs, and if the situation does not get better, we might be in for a washed-out Day 1 of the decisive Test match.
