Indian cricket team's premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah, one of the best pacers of all time in international cricket history, has been honoured with Sir Garfield Sobers Award for ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year at the ICC Awards.

Overall, Bumrah is the fifth Indian to win Sir Garfield Sobers Award for ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year award after Rahul Dravid (2004), Sachin Tendulkar (2010), Ravichandran Ashwin (2016) and Virat Kohli (2017, 2018). After Kohli, Bumrah is the first Indian to attain this honor.

Bumrah's extraordinary performances across formats in 2024 established him as the world's top fast bowler. He became the fastest Indian pacer to reach 200 Test wickets and currently reigns as the No.1 bowler in the ICC Test Rankings.

Jasprit Bumrah, India's most lethal bowling weapon, closed 2024 with a record-breaking 907 points in the ICC Test Bowling Rankings, highest ever for an Indian bowler. His contributions were key in India's T20 World Cup 2024 triumph, where he delivered with an economy of 4.17 and was deservingly named Player of the Tournament.

Jasprit Bumrah's dominance extended beyond white-ball cricket, as he excelled in Test matches, taking 71 wickets in just 13 games - the most by any bowler in 2024.
