The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially released the full schedule for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. Co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, the tournament will take place from September 30 to November 2, spanning five cities and featuring eight top teams.

Tournament action kicks off on September 30 as host nation India faces Sri Lanka at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, with the match scheduled to start at 3 PM IST.

The very next day — October 1 — defending champions Australia begin their title defense against Trans-Tasman rivals New Zealand in Indore. Meanwhile, Bangladesh take on Pakistan in Colombo on October 2, marking Sri Lanka’s hosting debut.

High-Stakes Rivalry Ignites In Colombo

One of the tournament’s most anticipated clashes, India vs Pakistan, is scheduled for October 5 at Colombo’s R. Premadasa Stadium, with the game also beginning at 3 PM. This marquee encounter sits at the heart of the round-robin phase that runs through October 26.

Venues & Knockout Stages Confirmed

The tourney will take place across India and Sri Lanka, with venues including Bengaluru, Indore, Vizag, Guwahati, and Colombo. The top four teams from the group stage will progress to the semi-finals, set for October 29 and 30, and the Final will be played on November 2 in either Bengaluru or Colombo.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah captured the heightened atmosphere surrounding the draw:

"The confirmation of the schedule only builds further excitement and anticipation for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. With the eight best teams in the women’s game descending on India, alongside incredible venues and what promises to be record-breaking crowds, we are all looking forward to an unforgettable tournament."

This marks the 13th edition of the Women’s Cricket World Cup, and the participants include: India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh — the latter two having secured places via April’s qualifiers.

The tournament features a round-robin format, where each team plays all others once, followed by semi-finals and the final. Teams will also take part in two warm-up matches starting 24 September.
