VID Vs KER: Vidarbha spinner Harsh Dubey has etched his name in the history books by recording the most successful campaign for a bowler in Ranji Trophy history.

The left-arm off-spinner scalped 3 wickets during the 2nd innings of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 Final fixture between Vidarbha and Kerala at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, to take his wickets tally to 69, surpassing previous record-holder Ashutosh Aman, who had 68 to his name, during the 2018-19 season whilst playing for Bihar.

Harsh Dubey's spell against Kerala proved to be decisive, as he scalped the likes of M.D. Nidheesh, Aditya Sarwate, and Salman Nizar, with the latter two being the stalwarts of Kerala's batting in the side's historic run to their maiden Ranji Trophy Final.

Harsh Dubey Joins An Elite List

Vidarbha's Harsh Dubey now holds the record for most wickets taken by a bowler in a single season of Ranji Trophy. However, he is also a part of a rare list, as only six bowlers have managed to scalp more than 60 wickets in a single season. The list includes the likes of Ashutosh Aman (68), Jaydev Unadkat (67), Bishan Singh Bedi (64), Kanwaljit Singh (62), and Dodda Ganesh (62).

The 22-year-old has been one of the best players for Vidarbha this season. He has managed to contribute with the bat as well, with him scoring 472 runs, consisting of 5 half-centuries.
