India secured the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 title on March 9 (Sunday), defeating Mitchell Santner-led New Zealand by four wickets in a thrilling final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. With this victory, India claimed their third Champions Trophy title, making the country the most successful team in the tournament’s history. Rohit Sharma & Co chased down a 252-run target in the penultimate over, with Ravindra Jadeja hitting the winning runs. Notably, India remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, winning all five matches consecutively.

New Zealand posted a competitive total of 251 runs, powered by Daryl Mitchell’s 63 and an unbeaten 53 from Michael Bracewell. India’s spin duo, Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy, did well to keep the scoring rate in check. In response, India skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front with a well-composed 76 off 83 balls, while vital contributions from Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul kept India on course. The thrilling contest ended in style as Jadeja hit the winning runs in the 48.5th over, sealing a memorable title win for India.
