The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to begin on February 19, with Pakistan as the official host. However, Team India will play all its matches in Dubai.

The 15-member Indian squad has been announced, with Rohit Sharma leading the side and Shubman Gill as vice-captain. India has been placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand.

Have a look at India's past record against these teams in ICC Champions Trophy.

India vs Bangladesh – February 20

India will kick off its Champions Trophy campaign against Bangladesh on February 20. The two teams have faced each other only once in the history of ICC Champions Trophy, during the 2017 edition, where India defeated Bangladesh by 9 wickets.

India vs Pakistan – February 23

The much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan is scheduled for February 23. The two rivals have met five times in ICC Champions Trophy history, with Pakistan winning three matches and India winning two. Their most famous encounter was in the 2017 final, where Pakistan outplayed India with a 180-run victory to claim their maiden Champions Trophy title.

India vs New Zealand – March 2

India will wrap up its group-stage campaign against New Zealand on March 2. The only Champions Trophy encounter between the two teams took place in 2000, where New Zealand emerged as the winner by 4 wickets.

Eight cricketing nations in a battle for the prestigious Champions Trophy title

The ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025 will take place from February 19 to March 9, bringing together the world's top eight cricketing nations in a battle for the prestigious title. The tournament will be played in the 50-over One-Day International (ODI) format.

This edition marks Pakistan's first time hosting a major global cricket event since the 1996 ODI World Cup. However, while Pakistan is the official host, some matches will also be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

A total of 15 matches will be played in the ninth edition of the Champions Trophy, featuring the top eight teams from the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Notably, former world champions Sri Lanka and West Indies did not qualify for the tournament.
