Australia Women have created a new world record, with their late heroics in the 1st innings of the 3rd ODI vs England Women. Read below.

Australia Women have registered a new world record to their name, as the side surpass their previous record with tremendous hitting against England Women in the 3rd ODI at the Bellerive Oval, Hobart, on Friday.
The home side lost 4 wickets for 59 runs, and were staring at the barrel of a total less than 250. But, the lower-order batters took the matter into their own hands, and the likes of Ashleigh Gardner; Tahlia McGrath; and Georgia Wareham ended up adding 249, which is now the most runs scored by a side after losing 4 wickets in Women's ODI's.
Most Runs Scored After Losing 4 Wickets By Any Team In Women's ODIs:
- 249 - Australia v England, Hobart, 2025
- 223 - Australia v India, Mackay 2021
- 220 - Australia v India, W.A.C.A. Ground, Perth, 2024
Ashleigh Gardner notched up her maiden ton in ODI's, as her knock helped Australia Women retain stability in their innings, and further tired English bowlers, who ended up messing their line and length.

Georgia Wareham's Brutal Assault On English Bowlers!
If Ashleigh Gardner was not enough, Australia Women had another lower-order batter in their ranks who managed to thwart England Women's bowling lineup, as Georgia Wareham scored a blistering 38 runs off 12 deliveries, as her unbeaten knock included 5 fours and 2 sixes.
Georgia Wareham's onslaught enabled Australia Women to cross the 300-run mark, as they end their innings at 308/8, and have put a mammoth 309-run target for English Women, who are in dire need to avoid an ODI series clean sweep.
