ODI Century on West Indies debut:

"It's surreal. Alhamdulillah for that. All praise to Allah. It's an incredible feeling. All the hard work is finally paying off. It hasn't fully sunk in yet, but it's truly amazing. Obviously, he's a close friend of mine, and he made it really easy for me. He just told me, 'It's your debut, enjoy it'," said Amir Jangoo, who was awarded the Player of the Match.

"Our head coach, Daren Sammy, gave me clear instructions on how to score runs on this wicket. We had our targets set, and fortunately, each of us stayed focused on achieving them, which kept us in the game. I think I was pretty confident. I actually have quite a few 90s in my career, so I just wanted to ride the adrenaline, stay confident, and stick to a 'see ball, hit ball' approach," he added.

Sherfane Rutherford Awarded Player Of The Series In WI Vs BAN ODI Series

Sherfane Rutherford's excellent 2024 sees him add yet another feat, as the West Indies all-rounder produced a memorable performance with both, bat and ball, against Bangladesh.

In the 3-match series, the left-handed batsman scored 167 runs, which includes a ton, and also scalped a wicket in the 3rd ODI.

"First of all I want to thank god for this opportunity. I think it was a really good opportunity for me. I think I have contributed really well for my team. Obviously I am bowling regularly in the nets. Obviously the management have backed me and in the future, hopefully I will get some more opportunities to bowl," said Sherfane Rutherford.

"Well you can see that every game, different players are stepping up. Today you can see, Jangoo batted so well and stepped up for the side. Ah, I think we all want just one thing, that is to make the West Indies a better nation. Really pleased with the result," he added.
