- 0.5 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
- 1 Cup Sugar
- Lemon
- Ghee or Oil
- Water
Main Procedure
Step 1
Take a bowl and mix flour, salt, and ghee in it. Rub the ghee into flour until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add water slowly to make a smooth dough. Cover and leave it for about 15 minutes.
Step 2
After that, divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a rectangle or oval shape. Fold or twist gently to form layers.
Step 3
Take a deep pan and heat oil or ghee in it. Once it's hot, fry the Goja pieces on low heat.
Step 4
Take another pan and add sugar and water in it. Boil it until you get the one string consistency. Add cardamom powder to it and then, add a few drops of lemon juice.
Step 5
Dip the fried Goja into the sugar syrup. Soak them for about a couple of minutes. Then, remove and place on a tray to cool and set them.
Step 6
Serve it at room temperature and enjoy.
