Dessert Know How To Prepare Gujiya Gelato
Gujiya Gelato is a delightful combination of Indian and Italian flavours, celebrate Holi with this special fusion.
Ingredients
- 2 Cup Full-fat milk
- 0.5 Cup Condensed milk
- 0.5 Cup Khoya (mawa)
- 0.5 Teaspoon Cardamom powder
- 0.25 Cup Chopped dry fruits (almonds, cashews, raisins)
- 0.25 Cup Crushed Gujiya pieces
Main Procedure
Heat khoya and milk in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
Heat until the mixture thickens to a creamy consistency.
Mix in condensed milk and cardamom powder so that the flavors are well incorporated.
Heat for a further few minutes and then remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
After cooling, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn until it is soft and airy.
Fold in crushed pieces of Gujiya along with finely chopped dry fruits such as almonds, pistachios, and cashews, distributing them evenly.
Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container, smooth the top, and cover tightly to avoid ice crystal formation.
Chill for a minimum of 4-6 hours until stiff.
Serve chilled, garnished with additional dry fruits for crunch and flavor.
