Dessert Know How To Make Banoffee Pie At Home
Banoffee Pie is simple and irresistible. Learn to make it at home with layers of buttery biscuit base, whipped cream, and ripe bananas for the perfect delight.
Ingredients
- 200 Gram FOR BISCUIT BASE: Digestive Biscuits
- 100 Gram Unsalted Butter (melted)
- 400 Gram FOR TOFFEE LAYER: Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 2 Tablespoon Unsalted Butter
- 2 Tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 3 Piece FOR FILLING: Ripe Bananas (sliced)
- 300 Milliliter Heavy Cream
- 1 Tablespoon Powdered Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Cocoa Powder
Main Procedure
Crush the digestive biscuits into fine crumbs. Mix the crumbs with melted butter and mix properly.
Press the mixture into the base of a pie dish to create a layer. Refrigerate this for about 15 minutes to allow it to set.
Take a saucepan and mix the xondensed milk, butter, and brown sugar together. Cook it over low heat and keep on stirring until the mixture becomes thick. Let it turn into a golden caramel colour.
Once done, remove it from the heat and add in the vanilla extract. Let it cool down for a while before spreading over the chilled biscuit base.
Add the sliced bananas evenly over the toffee layer. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Spoon the whipped cream over the bananas.
Refrigerate the pie for about 2 hours and wait for it to set. You can garnish it with a dusting of cocoa powdered or grated chocolate, according to your preference.
Slice the Banoffee Pie and serve it to your guests.
