Ingredients

  • 0.5 Cup FOR SAFFRON LAYER: Sooji
  • 2 Tablespoon Ghee
  • 0.5 Cup Sugar
  • 0.5 Cup Carrots (grated, boiled)
  • 0.5 Cup FOR WHITE LAYER: Sooji
  • 2 Tablespoon Ghee
  • 0.5 Cup Sugar
  • 0.5 Cup Coconut or Khoya
  • 0.5 Cup FOR GREEN LAYER: Sooji
  • 2 Tablespoon Ghee
  • 0.5 Cup Sugar
  • 0.5 Cup Pistachios

Main Procedure

Step 1

For the green layer, heat ghee in a pan and roast sooji in it. Then, add the pistachio paste and stir for a while.

Step 2

Once done, add sugar and keep on stirring. Then, place it in glasses and fill only one-third part.

Step 3

Next, prepare the white layer. Repeat roasting the sooji in ghee. Add in the grated coconut and cook till it's thick.

Step 4

Spread this halwa over the green layer and smoothen it.

Step 5

Now, prepare the last saffron layer by roasting sooji in the same way. Once aromatic, add the carrot puree with sugar.

Step 6

Spread it over the white layer.

Step 7

Let it set for 30 minutes and garnish with dry fruits and nuts.
