Ingredients
- 1 Cup Rice Flour
- 1 Cup Grated Coconut
- 0.5 Cup Jaggery
- 1 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Ghee
- 1 Pinch Salt
- Water

Main Procedure
Step 1
Take a pan, heat it, and add jaggery with a splash of water. Stir it until it melts.
Step 2
Add grated coconut and cardamom powder to it. Mix it well and cook till the mixture thickens. Set it aside and allow it to cool.
Step 3
Take another pan, add water in it with a pinch of salt and little ghee. Let it boil. Slowly add rice flour and stir to make a smooth dough.
Step 4
Allow the dough to cool slightly, then knead it until soft and pliable.
Step 5
Take small portions of dough, flatten them, and shape into cups.
Step 6
Fill each portion with the coconut and jaggery mixture and seal them into a dumpling shape.
Step 7
Steam the modaks in an idli steamer for 10–12 minutes until glossy and cooked.
Step 8
Offer to Lord Ganesha and enjoy with family.
