Appetizer Easy Honey Garlic Tofu Recipe
This easy Honey Garlic Tofu recipe features crispy tofu tossed in a sweet and savoury garlic sauce. It' perfect for a quick, flavourful, and healthy meal.
Ingredients
- Tofu
- 2 Tablespoon Cornstarch
- 2 Tablespoon Oil
- 2 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoon Honey
- 1 Tablespoon Rice Vinegar
- 3 Piece Garlic Cloves
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger
- 1 Teaspoon Sesame Oil
- Sesame Seeds
- Green Onions (chopped)
- Cornstarch and Water Slurry
Main Procedure
Remove the excess moisture from tofu by pressing it. Cut it into small pieces.
Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch and evenly coat every cube.
Take a non stick pan and heat oil in it. Pan fry the tofu and wait for it to become golden brown and crispy.
Take a bowl to prepare sauce. Add in soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Mix everything properly.
Pour the sauce in the pan and let it cook. Make cornstarch slurry by adding 1 teaspoon of cornstarch in 2 tablespoon of water in a separate bowl. Then, add the slurry in the same pan and let the sauce thicken.
Add the crispy tofu in the pan and toss so that it's evenly coated from all the sides. Let it cook for another couple for minutes.
Once done, sprinkle some sesame seeds and chopped green onions over it for garnishing. Serve it hot as a standalone or with rice, pasta, or noodles.
