Here's Why Sunil Narine Isn't Playing KKR vs RR IPL 2025 Match In Guwahati
Veteran spin all-rounder Sunil Narine will miss Kolkata Knight Riders' IPL 2025 clash against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati on Wednesday.
Narine, who smashed a century against RR last season, is currently unwell and is expected to recover in time for KKR's next fixture.
KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane confirmed at the toss that the West Indian all-rounder won't be available for this game.
In Narine's absence, Moeen Ali will make his debut for the franchise, marking the only change in KKR's playing XI.
KKR's Playing XI vs RR: Quinton de Kock(w), Venkatesh Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane(c), Rinku Singh, Moeen Ali, Andre Russell, Ramandeep Singh, Spencer Johnson, Vaibhav Arora, Harshit Rana, Varun Chakaravarthy.
Narine has been a key player for KKR over the years, excelling both as a spinner and an aggressive opening batter.
In KKR's IPL 2025 season opener against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Sunil Narine scored 44 off 26 balls and picked up one wicket while conceding 27 runs in his four overs.
