MS Dhoni is on verge of scripting history, just six runs short of becoming second cricketer in the world to score 5,000 runs for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL.

So far in his IPL career, MS Dhoni has scored 4994 runs in 247 IPL matches (215 innings) with 23 fifties, strike rate of 138.22 and average of 39.01.

Former CSK player Suresh Raina scored 5,529 runs for the franchise from 2008 to 2021 with two tons and 38 fifties at an average of 33.1.
