The team management and selectors are very clear that India needs a 120 per cent fit Jasprit Bumrah for all five Tests against Australia Down Under. Arshdeep vs Khaleel for IND vs BAN Tests: For India-Bangladesh Tests, the Indian team management is considering adding a left-arm pacer to the lineup, a role currently unfilled. Either Arshdeep Singh or Khaleel Ahmed is likely to receive a maiden call-up for IND-BAN Tests.
Khaleel Ahmed made his return to the Indian team last month during the Zimbabwe tour but did not perform notably well in Zimbabwe or in the lone T20I he played in Sri Lanka.
Arshdeep Singh, joint-highest wicket-taker in T20 World Cup 2024, may be favored over him due to his greater international experience.
Left-arm pacer Yash Dayal, who impressed during the IPL 2024 season and will feature in the Duleep Trophy, is also a contender.
