Intermittent gunfights between militant groups and the security forces were reported on Friday morning from various hill districts surrounding the Imphal valley. Incidents of violence were reported in Kangvai in Churachandpur district, western hill range of Phougakchao in Bishnupur district and Dolaithabi and Pukhao in Imphal East district, police said.
