Piyush Goyal Visits UAE's First Hindu Temple Amid Sea Of Devotees As It Opens For Public — In Pics
Union Minister Piyush Goyal visited BAPS, UAE's first Hindu temple after its gates were opened to the public on Sunday.
UAE's first-ever Hindu temple opened its doors to the public on Sunday.
Massive crowd of devotees, eager to offer prayers at the temple came to Abu Dhabi and participated in what was rather a momentous occasion for the Hindu community in UAE.
The mandir welcomed a staggering 65,000 visitors out of which 40,000 people visited the temple in the morning and the rest during the evening.
The devotees were queued patiently and were grouped in batches of 2000 each after which they partook in the darshan of the mandir.
A couple who has been living in Dubai for the past 40 years said: “We have been awaiting this moment, and the Mandir has exceeded all our expectations. It's a true marvel. We feel blessed as now we have a place to come and offer our prayers and feel the spirituality!”
Among the pilgrims who arrived in Abu Dhabi to visit the BAPS Temple was Union Minister Piyush Goyal who spent around three hours at the temple.
Piyush Goyal was also seen admiring the architecture of the grand temple. Earlier a visitor from Mexico while appreciating the temple's architecture stated that its intricate details in the stones are amazing.
