Ananya Panday Shares Unseen Moments With Akshay Kumar From Kesari Chapter 2 Sets

Ananya Panday is thrilled about her film Kesari Chapter 2, co-starring Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan, which released on April 18.

Ahead of the film's release, Ananya shared unseen behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram from the courtroom and Jallianwala Bagh sets.

In one of the pictures, she’s seen standing alongside Akshay Kumar, and the post quickly went viral.

Suhana Khan reacted to the post, commenting “done,” while many fans dropped heart emojis.

The film, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, is a courtroom drama focusing on the untold story of C. Sankaran Nair and the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

The film has seen an impressive response, selling over 24,000 tickets and raking in Rs 81 lakh through advance bookings.

Trade reports suggest Kesari Chapter 2 could open at Rs 8 crore net on day one, especially with its release aligned with the Good Friday weekend.

Special screenings have been held across major cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.

Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Delhi CM Rekha Gupta attended the Delhi screening and praised the film's portrayal of patriotism and sacrifice.

The film is a spiritual sequel to Akshay Kumar’s 2019 Kesari, focusing on how lawyer Chettur Sankaran Nair took on the British after the 1919 massacre.

Akshay plays Nair, Madhavan portrays British lawyer Neville McKinley, and Ananya plays Dilreet Gill. The film is based on The Case That Shook the Empire and is produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films. (All Images: Instagram/ananyapanday)
