Kareena Kapoor Comforts Karisma And Her Children At Sunjay Kapur’s Funeral. See Pics

Actor Karisma Kapoor, accompanied by her sister Kareena Kapoor Khan, offered a final farewell to her former husband, businessman Sunjay Kapur, at his funeral held in Delhi on June 19.

Sunjay Kapur, 53, passed away on June 12 after reportedly suffering a heart attack while playing polo in London.

Images and videos circulating on social media show an emotional yet composed Karisma with her children, Samaira and Kiaan, by her side.

. Kareena, too, was present for support, walking arm-in-arm with her sister as the family made their way through mourners and close friends.

In one of the widely shared visuals, Kareena is seen gently holding Karisma's arm as they walk past well-wishers after laying floral tributes.

Another poignant moment captured on camera shows Samaira and Kiaan hugging one another tightly, with their mother standing close, while Kareena and her husband Saif Ali Khan remained just a step behind, quietly offering strength.

Earlier in the day, video of Karisma and her children from the funeral venue were doing the rounds.

A prayer meeting has been announced and is scheduled for June 22, from 4 pm to 5 pm at the Taj Palace Hotel, as per a note circulating online

The message is signed by Sunjay’s wife Priya, mother Rani Surinder Kapur, and his children Samaira and Kiaan.

Sunjay Kapur was a prominent industrialist and the Chairman of Sona Comstar.

According to a statement by the company, he suffered a fatal cardiac arrest during a polo match in England.

He married Karisma Kapoor in 2003, and the couple had two children together. After more than a decade of marriage, they filed for divorce by mutual consent in 2014, which was formally granted in 2016. (All images: PTI)
