Born in Mumbai, to renowned Hindustani classical singer Romia Dey and studio bassist Sujoy Dey, Mohini Dey's musical journey began at a tender age.

By the age of ten, Mohini was already performing on stage, showcasing her exceptional talent.

Mohini's international breakthrough came in 2014 when she performed alongside A.R. Rahman at Berklee College of Music.

Her impressive performance captivated American audiences and paved the way for collaborations with legendary musicians like Jordan Rudess, Steve Vai, and Alex Lifeson.

She has collaborated with Rahman in more than 40 shows across the globe.

Over the past few years, Mohini Dey has solidified her position as a global sensation.

She has collaborated with a diverse range of artists from around the world, including Japanese rock band B'z, Indian jazz-fusion duo Ekalavya, and Indonesian guitarist Dewa Budjana.

In 2023, Mohini released her self-titled debut album to critical acclaim, showcasing her exceptional skills as a bassist and composer.

She has also been actively performing with her trio, MaMoGi, alongside saxophonist Mark Hartsuch and drummer Gino Banks.

Mohini has also collaborated with artists like Willow Smith.
