'Just Like I Got India, Pak To...': Trump Urges Peace Deal As Israel Hits 2,300 Km Inside Iran

Amid escalating violence, Trump urged Israel and Iran to strike a peace deal, citing his past diplomatic successes. This comes as Iran launched missile attacks on Israeli cities, killing seven.

US President Donald Trump on Sunday called for peace between Iran and Israel, urging both nations to strike a deal as violence intensifies across the Middle East. His remarks come even as Iran launched a fresh wave of missile attacks on Israeli cities, leaving seven dead and several others feared missing.

Posting on his Truth Social platform, Trump pointed to previous global conflicts he claims to have defused, including long-standing hostilities between Serbia and Kosovo, and the Nile water dispute between Egypt and Ethiopia. He repeated his assertion on defusing tensions between India and Pakistan, a claim dismissed by New Delhi.

“Iran and Israel should make a deal, and will make a deal, just like I got India and Pakistan to make, in that case by using TRADE with the United States to bring reason, cohesion, and sanity into the talks with two excellent leaders who were able to quickly make a decision and STOP! Also, during my first term, Serbia and Kosovo were going at it hot and heavy, as they have for many decades, and this long time conflict was ready to break out into WAR. I stopped it (Biden has hurt the longer term prospects with some very stupid decisions, but I will fix it, again!),” Trump wrote.

“Likewise, we will have PEACE, soon, between Israel and Iran! Many calls and meetings now taking place. I do a lot, and never get credit for anything, but that’s OK, the PEOPLE understand. MAKE THE MIDDLE EAST GREAT AGAIN!” he added.

Trump Hints Possibility of US Involvement In Israel-Iran Conflict

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump told ABC News that while the US is currently not involved, “It’s possible we could get involved” in the conflict. Trump also said Russian President Vladimir Putin had expressed willingness to mediate. “He is ready. He called me about it. We had a long talk about it,” Trump said.

On social media, Trump warned Iran that any retaliation towards the US would provoke a response “at levels never seen before.” He added, “However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!!!”

Iran Unleashes New Strikes, Sirens Sound Across Israel

Iranian state media reported another barrage of missile attacks on Israel, with explosions rocking Tel Aviv and surrounding regions. Sirens were triggered across central and northern Israel, including Jerusalem, as civilians were instructed to remain in bomb shelters.

According to the Times of Israel, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) confirmed the launch of several ballistic missiles from Iran. Air defence systems were activated to intercept the projectiles, while the government ordered the public to stay in protected spaces.

Reuters cited witnesses confirming the sound of explosions in Tel Aviv. The state of emergency in Israel has now been extended until 30 June, as per the same report.

Rescue workers in Bat Yam recovered a body from the debris of a building struck by an Iranian missile, raising the death toll to seven. Three individuals remain unaccounted for.

Israel Strikes 2,300 Km Inside Iran Amid Bid For ‘Air Superiority’

Israeli strikes in Iran have killed at least 406 people and wounded 654 others, a human rights group said, as per AP.

The Israeli Air Force stated that it recently attacked an Iranian refuelling plane at Mashhad Airport deep inside Iran amid a bid to establish air superiority. It posted, "Some 2,300 kilometers away, the Air Force recently attacked an Iranian refueling plane at Mashhad Airport in eastern Iran. The Air Force is working to achieve air superiority throughout Iran. This is the most distant attack since the beginning of the operation."

Meanwhile, Iran’s IRNA news agency reported the detonation of five car bombs in Tehran. The outlet attributed the attack to Israeli forces.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a call with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, urged Baghdad to prevent Israel from using Iraqi airspace or land for military operations.

“We emphasise that the Iraqi government must exercise greater vigilance and protection of its borders and airspace so that Iraqi territory is not misused against the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Pezeshkian was quoted as saying by the Iranian presidency website, AFP reported.

Despite ongoing tensions, the Israeli military has now allowed residents across the country to exit protected spaces, indicating a temporary easing of immediate threats. However, the situation remains volatile, with authorities maintaining high alert amid fears of further escalation.
