New Delhi: The much anticipated meeting between US President Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un will take place on June 12 in Singapore.

Trump revealed the information in a tweet.

He tweeted: “The highly anticipated meeting between Kim Jong Un and myself will take place in Singapore on June 12th. We will both try to make it a very special moment for World Peace!”

The meeting will have all eyes on it as the two powerful world leaders who were sworn enemies until now, will be taking a step towards peace.

Speculations about the forthcoming historic meeting had begun ever since Trump announced North’s proposal for a meeting.

Trump had earlier hinted that he would not mind if the meeting took place in the Peace House in the demilitarised zone where the historic meeting between South Korean strongman Moon Jae In and North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un took place.

As per Trump the main agenda of the meeting will be the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula.

South Korea's role in the peace-making between the two rival countries is significant. As per reports, it was Moon Jae In who played the role of communicator between the two countries before US and N Korea directly spoke on the proposal.
